Women in Technology at UCI’s slogan is to advance, inspire, empower, and act. We are an organization that works tirelessly to make a positive difference by focusing on diversity, equity, and inclusion. Our vision extends across all areas of technology at UCI and our goal is to initiate change that advances, inspires, and empowers women.
We would like to recognize other like-minded groups on campus whose vital initiatives are aimed at fostering gender equality and promoting the participation of women in technology, research, and science fields.
These collaborations unite essential groups dedicated to empowering women in academia and the tech industry. By joining forces, we can create a supportive and inclusive environment where women can network, share experiences, and gain access to resources and opportunities.
Women in Information & Computer Sciences (WICS)
Women in Information and Computer Sciences (WICS) is a social and professional non-profit
organization at UCI established to help and encourage women to pursue a college degree and
a successful career in the computer science field.
Women in Research @ UCI
UCI WIR is a grassroots, volunteer-led organization developed to support postdoctoral women by providing them with an opportunity to discuss their experiences, uncertainties, and aspirations with other women in a group setting.
Women in Tech Inclusive Networking
The Women in Tech at UCI Inclusive Networking (WITIN @ UCI) is an initiative of Women in Technology at UCI. The main goal of WITIN @ UCI is to establish monthly sessions to maintain networking, ongoing communications, and support relationships across the UCI WIT community.
