Julie Eastman is the Chief Information Officer (CIO) at UCI Health. She joined UCI Health in December 2021 as the Associate Chief Information Officer. She was recently promoted to Chief Information Officer (CIO).
As CIO, Eastman will be tasked with aligning UCI’s information technology investments with its larger business and strategic goals. She’ll manage and maintain the health system’s IT infrastructure and oversee many projects and initiatives.
She’ll also lead several departments across the IT teams, focused on application delivery and support, clinical informatics, telecommunications, and biomedical engineering.
Julie started her career as a critical care Registered Nurse. She quickly moved into the IT space, where she has been focused on advancing technology to support all aspects of the patient care continuum. She has held roles from implementing clinical systems and providing strategic consulting services to leading IT operations and solution delivery in large healthcare systems.
With an extensive background in healthcare IT, Julie has made staff and management mentorship an essential part of her leadership contribution throughout her almost thirty-year career.
