Alissa Powers is a software engineer, scrum leader, and project manager for UC Irvine’s Office of Information Technology (OIT).
Alissa joined OIT as a UCI student employee in 2016. In 2017, she graduated with a B.S. in Computer Science and a B.A. in Drama and joined UCI as a full-time staff member. She received a master’s degree in Software Engineering from UCI in 2021 and obtained her Project Management Professional (PMP) certification in 2023.
Alissa serves her team as a Certified Scrum Master (since 2018) and Certified Scrum Product Owner (since 2023), and she manages software projects that require coordination and collaboration across multiple teams within OIT.
